Avenged Sevenfold [A7X] is an American [Metal, Hardcore] band formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California.
The band members are Matt Shadows [lead vocals], Zacky Vengeance [backup vocals, rhythm guitar], Synyster Gates [backup vocals, guitar], Johnny Christ [bass], and The Reverend [backup vocals, drums].
Avenged Sevenfold has four albums; Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, Warmness on the Soul, Waking the Fallen, and City of Evil. Waking the Fallen being the most popular A7X album, being #12 on the Independent album chart and City of Evil being #30 on the US Billboard.
They are said to be releasing a fifth this year. [October 31st]
A7X's singles are "Warmness on the Soul", "Unholy Confessions", "Bat Country", "Beast and the Harlot" [which has been released as a song on Guitar Hero II], "Burn It Down" and "Seize the Day".
"Warmness on the Soul", "Bat Country", Beast and the Harlot", & "Seize the Day" are professional recorded videos; "Unholy Confessions" and "Burn It Down" are live.
A7X has many compilations from 2003-2006.
