Music is my sanctuary. If I didn't have music, I would die!!! It's something I use to get away from the drama of everyday life. There's nothing better than kicking back with your headphones on and tuning out the world when you need to just get away.

I love anything from hardcore screamo to certain forms of emo. I don't like to classify music and say "Oh I'm a metal fan. Emo kids need to %$#* off." I don't discriminate when it comes to music. I believe that if you stick to just one genre, you miss out on a ton of awesome artists and lyrics. I keep an open mind when it comes to music. However, I tend to lean more towards rock/metal/hardcore/screamo/emo/grunge than country or hip hop. There are VERY FEW hip hop and country songs I like, such as Pink, R. Kelly, and Ludacris.

Britney and K-Fed need to die due to lack of talent. James Blunt must have been kicked in the balls too many times as a kid, resulting in his falsetto singing voice. I also dislike The Pussycat Dolls.

There's just something about bands like Atreyu and Rise Against that help to sedate me. When I hear Atreyu scream, I feel like all my anger is being released. It's damn near therapeutic! And frankly, no amount of hip hop or country can give me the same satisfaction.
